Suggestion of Change of the Marketing Mix of the selected Ice Hockey Club

This Bachelor thesis deals with the usage of marketing mix of selected hockey club. Theoretical introduction of some marketing knowledge in the first part of the text is further used for an analysis of current marketing activities and approaches that the selected business in the sports industry applies. The analysis is done based on questionnaires and personal interviews with fans, who are considered to be customers. The thesis concludes with real suggestions for improvement of the club’s marketing mix taking into account the opinions and feedback from the fans with special focus on the improvement of sports services and the club’s image.

Monitoring the use of chewing tobacco in ice hockey players

Title: Monitoring the use of chewing tobacco in ice hockey players. Goals: The aim is to determine the frequency, causality of chewing tobacco use in IH players and its sport-social context. Why is chewing tobacco so popular among hockey players recently. Methods: The research was based on a questionnaire survey. The survey consisted of 22 questions, respondents always had a choice of several options, except for 3 questions that were open- ended. Some questions were of the YES/NO response type and some were multiple choice. The questions were structured from the most basic to the more specific. The only mandatory question in the questionnaire was question number one. The questionnaire ended for respondents who selected the NO option in question one. Thus, respondents had the option of skipping questions. The entire questionnaire was anonymized as much as possible and was conducted over the Internet. It took a maximum of 5 minutes to complete and some took considerably less time. Results: The results show that 35.2 % of the 216 hockey players use chewing tobacco, and in relatively large quantities. Almost 40 % of them chew 7 or more sachets per day, feeling focused and relaxed after using it. Most respondents were introduced to chewing tobacco because of ice hockey and teammates. Bohumil Modrý and his fate in literature and media coverage

This Bachelor thesis focuses on research of the image of Czechoslovak ice-hockey goalkeeper Bohumil Modrý in literature and contemporary print. After describing the fate of Bohumil Modrý, I focus on the analysis of contemporary daily print, namely Rudé právo, Mladá fronta and Československý sport, in which I research the amount of informations publicated in named daily print and the differences between them. While analysing the daily print, I will focus on few specific periods - 1947 and 1949 ice-hockey world championships, 1948 olympic games, March 1950 in which Bohumil Modrý and his former teammates from national ice-hockey team were arrested, October 1950 in which the court hearing took place, their release from jail in early 1955, death of Bohumil Modrý in July 1963 and rehabilitation of Modrý and his once convicted teammates in July 1968. The third part of the Bachelor thesis follows Modrý's image in the book Jáchymov by Austrian writer Josef Haslinger. It is a novel which was written with help of Bohumil Modrý's daughter Blanka and follows more different storylines, but the main one focuses on the fate of Bohumil Modrý. Thesis title: Stimulation of strength, speed and coordination abilities in the ice hockey goaltender. Aim of the thesis: To describe theoretical basis of stimulation in ice hockey goaltenders. To design a model of goaltender's strength, speed and coordination training and to find suitable methods, means and forms of the stimulation of strength, speed and coordination abilities focused on youth teams and older goaltenders. Method: Qualitative analysis of document contents was used to identify the main theoretical basis of stimulation of goaltenders strength, speed and coordination abilities. Determiners of goaltenders' strength, speed and coordination development were described on the basis of deeper analysis. The main theoretical resources were finally integrated into a logical complex by the method of synthesis. On this basis the conception of strength, speed and coordination abilities stimulation could have been set up and suitable methods, means and forms of the goaltenders' strength, speed and coordination training could have been chosen with focus on youth teams and older goaltenders. Title: Advertising regulation in Czech and international hockey. Objectives: : The main target of this bachelor's thesis is to determine the diversity between legal systems in the advertising regulation relating to clubs participating in the highest ice hockey competitions in three selected EU countries, namely the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany. Methods: In this work was used qualitative method of analysis of documents, which is supplemented by structured interviews with experts from various clubs. Results: From the perspective of the legal regulation must clubs in these three countries comply the same rules. Advertising is regulated in the same way. Title: Comparison of the organizational forms of ice hockey level in the 1st and 2nd class in the Czech Republic to the current recommendations of the IIHF and USA Hockey Objectives: To find out a use of different types of methodical organizational and socially interactional forms in the training process of 1st and 2nd class players in the Czech Republic and to compare the application of the game form in the training units with the recommendations of IIHF and USA Hockey. Methods: The research was carried out by analyses of guided interview and by recording of monitored data into an evaluation report during observations of individual training units in CR. Tested object represents 4 training units of 1st and 2nd class players in a 4 different Czech clubs during season 2011/12. The comparative part studied the differences between organization structure of Czech training units and the recommendations of IIHF and USA hockey. Evaluating the application of methodical organizational forms and the game form were expressed in percentage and compared with the recommendations of IIHF and USA hockey. The comparation of solid and unstable surface exercice on 13years old ice-hockey players by Myotest

THE COMPARATION OF SOLID AND UNSTABLE SURFACE EXERCICE ON 13YEARS OLD ICE-HOCKEY PLAYERS BY MYOTEST Objectives: Compare the effect of the course and exercises by using unstable surfaces with and without field accelerometer (Myotest). Methods: The exercise of a similar movement pattern was performed qualitative and quantitative comparison of the stress field parameters using the accelerometer. Quantitative stress parameters were evaluated for individual movements as mean values from a larger number of repetitions for intra- individual assessments. For comparison exercises were probands adapted from ongoing training process. Results: The results obtained during by testing shows that the measured power and performance weren't always exactly according to the hypotheses. The hypotheses were in some cases completely confirmed (eg VR lunge at the knees in the value of the force on the mat 994.4 N and Bosu 1154 N. The difference is 159,6 N, which is about 16%), in others completely rejected (eg KŠ kneeled in lunge was power value on the mat 730 W and on the Bosu 1172 W. Difference is 442 W, which is about 60%).
